The United States Department of State (USDOS) is pleased to welcome you to the Accident and Sickness Program for Exchanges (ASPE) Health Benefits Plan. As an Exchange Participant, you receive a limited health care benefits plan designed by USDOS and administered by International Medical Group, Inc. (IMG). This plan is NOT an insurance policy.
ASPE is a self-funded, limited health care benefit plan designed to pay emergent covered medical expenses for eligible Exchange Participants. Covered medical expenses are subject to policy limitations. ASPE is secondary to any primary insurance that you may carry and covers you alone during your exchange program. ASPE does not provide routine healthcare coverage.
Details of what services are and are not covered, as well as services available to you as a Participant are available in your ASPE Guidebook. Please review your Guidebook carefully to understand what is and is not covered and contact International Medical Group if you have any questions.
International Medical Group (IMG) provides all general administration and oversight of all the healthcare services including Customer Service, Claims Payment, Financial Management, Utilization Management, Preferred Provider Network (PPO) accessibility through The UnitedHealthcare PPO Network and Pharmacy Services through Universal RX, ASPE Compass through TELUS Health, and telemedicine through Teladoc.
